1. What to wear to Tomorrowland
One of the best things about Tomorrowland is that you can wear whatever you want! There’s no dress code, so you can be as comfy or as dressed up as you want.
Whether you’re going for a cute and casual look or something a little more glam, there’s no wrong way to do it. Just make sure you’re comfortable enough to dance the night away.
Also, make sure you have enough outfit options. Because first you will have to adjust based on the weather and second you are not going to be able to put back an outfit you wore the previous day.
Whatever the festival, having a fresh new outfit per day is key.

At Tomorrowland, you can wear whatever you want as long as you’re comfortable.

You can wear anything you want, so if you feel like daring you could as well. One caveat though, we don’t recommend going too crazy if you are flying solo.
But if you are with friends that can act if you get unwanted attention or “clumsy hands” you will be alright.
Don’t get us wrong, people attending Tomorrowland are peaceful and kind but you never know.
If you go in the rave-like style you will definitely not be alone doing it but better doing it with friends.

2. What not to wear to Tomorrowland
While it’s important to dress for the occasion, sometimes comfort should be your top priority—especially when you’ll be dancing the night away. Here are a few things you should avoid wearing to Tomorrowland:
– High heels: Nothing ruins a good time quite like blisters and sore feet. Skip the high heels and opt for comfy sneakers or flat shoes instead. Your feet will thank you later.
– Tight clothing: You’re going to want to be able to move freely, so steer clear of anything too tight or constricting. Loose, comfortable clothing is always a good choice.
– Heavy layers: You might get cold later in the night, but during the day, you’re likely to be sweating it out on the dance floor.
Avoid wearing too many layers or you’ll end up feeling hot and sticky. Instead, dress in light, airy fabrics that will help keep you cool.
– Outfits too revealing: like we said earlier, you can wear anything you want but if you want to go for a revealing outfit make sure you have some friends around, just in case you get too much attention from unwanted people.
– Uncomfortable shoes: You’re going to be doing a lot of walking (and dancing), so make sure you wear shoes that won’t give you blisters.
3. Tips for staying cool and comfortable at Tomorrowland
When you attend Tomorrowland, you want to be comfy and cool, not sticky and hot. Here are a few tips to help you stay comfortable during the festival:
-Wear loose, breathable clothing. Natural fabrics like cotton will help you stay cool and comfortable, even when it’s hot out.
-Apply sunscreen liberally, and reapply it often, especially if you’re sweat or swimming.
-Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, and take breaks in the shade to cool off.
-If possible, upgrade your ticket to include access to the VIP area. The VIP area has its own cooling system that will keep you comfortable all day long.
With a little planning, you can make sure that your Tomorrowland experience is comfy and enjoyable from start to finish.
4. Tips for the weather
Protect yourself from the sun and hydrate yourself
Tomorrowland takes place in the middle of summer, the sun in Belgium hits hard and most of the time spent at the festival will be outdoor.
You need to bring a hat, a cap, or anything to protect your head as most stages have absolutely no shades.
Because of this sunscreen is also a must, so bring some with you to put some back on your skin.
Did you know?: If the sunscreen is not touched by water it lasts about 2 hours, but if you are sweating or going in the water with it only lasts about 80 min.
So bring some with you and remember to put some more back if the sun is always present. You have to absolutely do this otherwise you could ruin your next days at the festival.
Sunglasses are also a must, if the sun does hit as it should in summer those sunglasses will be a blessing.
We say this for every event but more so when they are in the middle of summer, but remember to drink enough water.
There are many water fountains around the festival, but we recommend you bring your own refillable water bottle or camelbak.
Camelback is a great option because you can keep yourself hydrated at all times and because it has pockets you can use them and free your hands, your shorts or pants pockets.
Protect yourself from the sound
Remember to bring earplugs as well, music festival’s sound systems are really powerful, which can be harsh on your ears.
We recommend taking High Fidelity earplugs because it lowers the volume of the sound while removing the frequency that could damage your ears. Like the one below:
Protect yourself from the rain and the mud
Even though Tomorrowland weather is usually sunny, it does rain occasionally and even if it is not pouring the number of people makes the ground muddy really fast.
So bring ponchos or a rain jacket to prepare for the rain.
In regards to the mud, your best bet will be real rain boots so you keep your feet dry at all times.
We really hope that the sun will be there for your edition but you never know so grab that poncho and bring those rain boots! You will thank us later 🙂
So to sum it up the best approach would be to bring one pair of sandals, one pair of comfortable shoes and one pair of rain boots.
If you have some room left in your bags bringing an extra pair of comfortable shoes and changing from one day to the other is a real hack.
Hunter Ankle Boots (we don’t recommend the Ankle boots if the rain is heavy and the mud is deep so check the weather before packing, in case you need more).
5. Tomorrowland General tips
Bring your best comfortable shoes and extra socks
Tomorrow land is an international music festival with 17 stages that host about 400 000 people.
Tomorrowland and Dreamvill are huge, you will walk A LOT, not to mention all the dancing and jumping that will occur when the fun hits.
The walks will happen from one stage to another, to then go to the bathroom, to go grab something to eat, refill your water, go back to your tent (if you plan on camping), etc…
And if you don’t camp and you are using busses or shuttles you will have about 40 min walk to get to them.
Just take our word for it, bring your best comfortable shoes and extra pair of socks.
Regarding socks bring at least 2 pairs per day. One for the morning and beginning of the afternoon and one from the afternoon to the night. Your feet will thank you!
If you don’t have any shoes that will do the job, here are our best picks for music festivals:
Finding people from your country by flying your flag
As it is an international show, people bring their flags to let people know where they are from, if you want to find people from your country bring one.
Leave your valuables in lockers
The tents do not close so be sure to leave your valuables in one of the lockers available on site.
There are different sizes available to accommodate all kinds of belongings, so you can rest assured that your things will be safe.
By the way: different sizes of lockers are available, from small to medium, to big. The prices will change accordingly so choose the one that better fits your needs.
Plus you will not need any cash or credit card as at Tomorrowland money does not exist. Or actually, it does, but with their own currency, called “pearls”.
Once you buy your ticket you should receive a package with all the details of the festivals, like maps, stickers, and schedule along with a bracelet.
This bracelet will allow you to pay on-site with pearls. You just top up your bracelets with real money at the beginning of the event and then you can go anywhere and pay with pearls.
For reference, the last time we went here was how much the currency was valued:
- 200€ = 125 PEARLS
- 100€ = 62,5 PEARLS
- 80€ = 50 PEARLS
- 40€ = 25 PEARLS
- 20€ = 12,5 PEARLS
Keep an extra phone charger with you, your battery will die really fast, taking pictures and videos, using flashlights, being on social media sharing your experience with friends, will make your phone’s battery go from 100% to 0% in no time.
To avoid this, we recommend you bring an extra portable charger with you. This way, you will be able to recharge your phone on the go and not miss a single moment of the festival.
Showers and bathrooms options
You have 2 options available for the showers if you are camping there. Either you use the “shared shower” where you shower with multiple people. People shower in their bathing suits.
Or you can do private showers that you will have to pay extra. These will be just for you.
The thing is that these shared showers are usually very crowded in the mornings and after the festival, so we advise you to wake up early or shower at night. You will avoid long lines this way.
Also, there are always a lot of people in line for the private showers as well, so don’t count on them being a time-saver.
Bring your own toilet paper or baby wipes
This one is a no-brainer, but we still see people going around asking for toilet paper at the festival. So please, do yourself (and everyone else) a favor and bring your own toilet paper or baby wipes.
Activities and booths
Tomorrowland offers an impressive setup of many activities like yoga, workout areas, meditation areas, a place to do your make-up or braids, spa areas, and so on.
You can also find areas to get yourself a tattoo and even fix your phone. They even have a place where you can recharge your phone, and you can get a portable charger for an extra fee.
You will find a ton of different styles of food in many areas of the festival, but if you want to eat at fancy restaurants, you need to book in advance.
The booking part, most people forget to do so or they are just not even aware.
So if you decide to try some of their best cuisine and you forgot to book you could miss it, which will be a bummer because the food Tomorrowland offers is exquisite!
Capturing the event
Careful Tomorrowland staff will not allow professional cameras on-site, so you will be able to take pictures and record everything you want inside the festival but they only allow phones or really small cameras.
So don’t bother bringing your best gear because you are not going to be able to use it. You might be able to use it in Dreamville, but that’s about it.
